I do not particularly like South America, but Peru has nothing to do with South America :-).
First, it develops almost entirely on the Andes, also has a completely different climate from that of other countries in the region, and an ecosystem that is the most varied of the continent (from the desert to the mountains, the Amazon rainforest to the ocean) .
People still reflects the character and the fierceness of the Incas in the highlands, and the beauty and the charm of the Indians in the forest.
E 'to discover a country full of history, culture and pride.
Before leaving some practical advice:
- just arrived in Lima seek the Sorochiji pills (pills for altitude sickness!). They are miraculous!
- avoid Pizco (ugly), thermal baths and the ruins of the Colca Canyon (closed until 2011, and pools of brown and smelly) Islands Balletas (draft Galapagos) Nazca Lines (flight is nothing more horrifying!)
To the rest I have no other advice to be provided, if not a wish: do not resist, do yourself trascnare places, from the passport, air, sometimes thin sometimes dense, and able to grasp the true spirit of a magical place.
